Learn all about Monarch butterflies and how they live. Take home your own habitat and chrysalis so you can release your own butterfly! Registration Required. Ages 5+.

Seniors! Join us in Walker Park or Custer Park (to be determined) for this weekly moderate level class with a slower pace and less intense positions. Also includes yogi breath work, meditation & relaxation.

¡Cuentos! Storytime in Spanish. Join Ms. Jenn, and special guest: David Mila, a native Spanish speaker, for songs, rhymes, and stories. Fun for all ages!

Storytime will be outside, so please bring blankets and dress appropriately. 

Join Ms. Jenn and Mr. Jim at the Bookmobile in Roosevelt Community Center Park every Friday for storytime, crafts, Summer Reading Club, and library checkouts. All ages are welcome! Storytime begins at 10:00 am.

Aimed exclusively at infants ages 0 to 18 months and their caregivers. Baby Time introduces babies to music, rhythm, and rhyme—all important pre-literacy skills.

Join us for day 3 of our Friends of the Muskegon Heights Library Summer Reading Series as we read Broken Crayons Still Color, explore the concept of feelings and emotions, and enjoy some fun activities. Snacks included.

$3 per class

When children and their families share a love of healthy food and physical activities, everyone in the community benefits. Join the Neal Fitness Center and the Boys and Girls Club for a relaxing yoga routine that is great for families.

Draw or trace a design, color, cut, stick in the oven and -- presto! -- your creation shrinks to nearly half its original size. Registration required.

To coincide with the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France, we will be having our very own Library Olympics! In both collaborative and solo challenges, who will go for the gold? 

Join Mr. Jim and the Bookmobile from 2 pm to 2:30 pm for a Read Along at the pavilion near the baseball park, located directly behind the Cedar Creek Township Office. 

We will be reading books and maybe singing a song!

Use leftover materials – paint, markers, paper, and other odds and ends - to make a picture on canvas. No creative skills needed.

Create an abstract work of art to take home. We provide the canvas, tape, brushes and paint. You bring your imagination.

Let your imagination run wild with your designs. A large variety of Library LEGO are provided. Please leave your own favorite LEGO pieces at home. Each time we host a LEGO build we will provide a theme to inspire your creativity.

Teen-only fun for you and your friends at the library. Stop by for snacks, games and making shrinky dinks. Draw or trace a design, color, cut, stick in the oven and--presto!--your creation shrinks to nearly half of its original size.  

Join crafter extraordinaire Char as she shows you how to recycle metal bottle caps into a cute piece of art.
