Mushrooms 101

Join Chief Fungal Officer of Mycophile's Garden, Chris Swinson, for an introduction to identifying wild mushrooms in Michigan. He will share the best books, websites, and apps for learning to identify over 2,000 species of mushrooms that grow in our state. This includes over 130 edible species as well as dozens of toxic ones. He'll briefly discuss some of the features of our favorite edible species as well as where, when, and how you can find them in the wild, as well as tips for beginners on preservation, preparation, and storage.
